Humanities Advisory Committee

The Humanities Advisory Committee oversees the Humanities Network. Its standing members are the humanities deans from each of the ten UC campuses, the director of UCHRI, and two at-large members appointed to two-year terms. The chair, chosen by the committee, sets the meeting agenda in consultation with the committee members, chairs bi-annual meetings, and acts as a liaison between the committee and the Office of the President, the Society of Fellows, UCHRI and the faculty directors of the Consortium of Humanities Centers. The Advisory Committee coordinates the programs included in the Network, and meets twice a year to review the programs and activities of the Network, including the Fellows application and selection process, the results of the competition, and annual reports on Network activities from the UCHRI director, the chair of the Consortium, and the directors of the campus humanities centers. The Advisory Committee also establishes a subcommittee, including the UCHRI director, to organize the annual meeting of the UC President's Society of Fellows.
