The Humanities and Changing Conceptions of Work is a three-year multicampus research initiative funded by a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. It supports an ambitious UC-wide program of research activities including competitively selected multi-campus working groups, graduate seminars, webinars and conferences, a summer institute and a residential research group at UCHRI. Each will bring together a diverse array of faculty and graduate students across the UC system to examine specific issues around the humanities and changing conceptions of work.

The UC California Studies Consortium (UCCSC) supports collaborative research by UC faculty, graduate students, and their colleagues at other institutions as part of a University-wide California Studies research initiative for the humanities, arts and social sciences. This systemwide multicampus approach to California Studies aims to sustain innovative scholarship, teaching and outreach.
